The Hunger is an audaciously delightful vampire romp that borrows its idea and title horn the David Bowie film of about a decade ago.

Jon Dough and Ona Zee play millenia-old vampires. Only to soothe Jon's blood-sucking ennui, Ona proffers a gift in the form of a hooker, Rebecca Wilde. Jon falls for Rebecca like a ton of garlic and viceversa which leads to a number of intriguing questions, among which is, is a hickey a good idea under any circumstance?

Wilde makes for an excellent bimbo. She is raw yet vulnerable in character, and dresses typically like a Sunset Boulevard troubadour. Wilde lives up to her name, pulverizing the screen with two fine sex scenes, one with Tom Byron, the other with Dough, both depicting passion in its utmost cardiac arrest form. They're blistering.

The repartee and chemistry between Dough and Ona sings, but perhaps one of the script's flaws is waiting almost 'til the very end to explain their lineage, thus affording some scratches of the head to viewers wondering what Jon and Ona are rambling about in the beginning of the video.

Lovers of new faces will enjoy Nikki Shane's scene with Marc Wallice. It's non-essential to the plot, but it affords a good opportunity for watching sex in the spoon position, a (sadly) not-often-used position. Ona boffs returning porn vet F.M. Bradley in the opener and Meo, Rebecca's fellow hooker, takes it doggie-style (from Dough) with one leg extended in the air like a pointer, no less.
