The latest in the Brothers Grime adult cartoons series is the most ambitious yet in terms of plot, with three separate stories, better mounted than most adult sexvids. The animation comes from the Japanese School of Saturday Morning TV, which is to say a long way from Disney or Warner Brothers, But the animation certainly ranks among the best in the adult genre and these three mysterious vignettes live up to any expectations the viewer may have.
The big question remains, can cartoon characters elicit eroticism? I guess if we could see Fred do Wilma! Certainly, this tape contains plenty of hardcore animated sex and your own willing suspension of disbelief will help while viewing the sex. Generally, this genre contains more humor, making these tapes more of a novelty/party item. Pandora . . . An Erotic Trilogy is more serious.
"The Dark Forest," the longest of the three featurettes, takes a shot at televangelists while detailing the cynical story of a man's love for a living doll. While travelling through a forest which is "just out of God's reach," the man picks up a young preacher, and they venture into a strange world of beautiful, if not real, women. The dolls' main purpose is to screw these guys and spawn a child of the devil. The story gets rather complex, but at least the characters have no trouble maintaining an erection.
The second segment, "The Black Widow," chronicles a young girl's sexual coming of age, as she's replaced by the daughter of Pandora, and is forced to watch her boyfriend have unabandoned sex with this stranger from beyond. "Living Shadows," the most normal of the trilogy, sees a mysterious girl replacing a bitchy wife in the life and fantasies of an aspiring musician.
Pandora . . . An Erotic Trilogy succeeds because the dubbing, editing and tape reproduction is done with care. It's an absolutely professional production. Now it's a matter figuring out whether people need to be physically aroused by adult tapes, or simply titillated. Pandora is definitely different, and worth it for retailers to stock.
