Sometimes an adult video review begs for reexamination (see last month’s AVN). This is one of those times. While Alex deRenzy’s Rapture isn’t exactly Pretty Peaches 3, it’s definitely one of the more visually stimulating shows this industry has managed to put out recently.

Rapture is everything an adult video should be nowadays—granted it operates on some very thin premises (the putting together of an X-rated shoot—ho hum), but it has these positive elements going for it: a crisp, lively outdoor shoot with lots of swimming pool sequences and good underwater photography; mucho bare skin to oogle at, one really good tease sequence provided by Alexandria Quinn when she’s auditioning for Randy Spears; energetic sex scenes; flippancy and humor with a light touch—Samantha Strong’s bimbette character, for instance, plus a cast that looks like it’s really having fun with its material. You really, really can’t ask for more than that in a video shoot. I positively recommend this tape to anyone tired of seeing the same old lifeless crap.

Do yourself a favor and put this one on your store shelves.
