If there's one compelling reason for watching Night Eyes 2, it's certainly Shannon Tweed. An eyeful and a half with cool, sophisticated detachment, Ms. Tweed is the female sex icon of the straight-to-video market much the same way that Sharon Stone right now in the he roll-in-the-hay of choice in the general release arena.
Were you to compare strictly on the merits of the sex scenes of Night Eyes 2 to Basic Instinct, you might have a real debate on your hands as to which is more viscerally arousing. Tweed, I'd say, is a woman who certainly knows the territory when it comes to R-rated bedroom thumping. Having seen both films, I'm prejudiced, but I'd rate Night Eyes 2 the better deal when it comes to the trouser mouse, although tons of hype and $66 million take at the boxoffice (as of this writing) area pretty convincing argument for Basic Instinct and Sharon Stone sans panties.
Tweed plays the cold-as-ice wife of a foreign dignitary who warms up real quick to security expert Andrew Stevens who's assigned to protect her after a foiled assassination attempt on her husband. Stevens and Tweed hit it off from the get-go and soon have their hands constantly up one another as if they were a couple of Muppets on a love binge. In addition to the nude tagteaming, there's a steamy grope scene in a bookstore that scores A-plus for voyeurism, and, overall, the film is a creditable action flick well worth your time.
