I spent 90 minutes one afternoon with a producer of a video line that's reviewed on these pages, who felt that creativity and "vision", (meaning budget, I think) should be the mitigating factors in determining what wins an alternative adult tape award.

I don't think the word titillation ever came up in the conversation, because, as I pointed out to him, that's one of the things you find lacking in most adult features, alternative adult features (including his) and miscellaneous product that suggests being a distant relative of either of those two.

When I think of titillation, I have one thing in mind, and I'm tapping into one of my baser instincts (and by golly, I still have it) —the complete and utter rapture I experience in watching a beautiful woman disrobe— and the lingering opportunities provided by the camera to do so. Lots of tapes on the market forget this simple tried and true gimmick.

On the other hand, shows like Starlet Screentest III and Big Bust Casting Call operate on the simple premise of voyeurism, and for that reason, I think that's why they're so universally popular. They're truly exploitational with no sense of pretense.

Big Bust Casting Call, by its title, is more obvious in what it's catering to —a big bust fetish, and many of the girls featured in this tape are no strangers to XXX. Nikki Dial offers perhaps the most of which feature hot tub scenarios, lingerie modeling or dancing. Full nudity and generous camera close-ups makes this a winner.

Ditto with Starlet Screentest III which features some really stunning blondes, one of which is Carrie Janise whom you'll recognize if you're a regular to these pages. In her audition, Carrie, a lithesome, long-legged beauty plays a college student who strips naked in order to wrangle a better grade out of her professor. Fortunately, none of the other skits gets any more brain-intensive than that.

Strictly for voyeurs who love to ogle naked women, Big Bust Casting Call and Starlet Screentest III are solid entries in the alternative market.
