Since Florida Girls is shot on video (and not on terrifically sharp equipment at that), the title is a somewhat of a misnomer — but then again what would you expect from a release where the lawyers get higher billing than some of the crew? Unlike, say, Girls of Daytona, which captured a whole bevy of natural, uninhibited (and most importantly, amateur) beach talent running around on spring break, Florida Girls focuses on three Florida born-and-bred young ladies who, if we had to hazard a lazy guess, were probably culled from a local strip joint. There's one busty blonde and two brunettes, who appear tanned, oiled and quite enticing on the box cover, the skimpiest of string bikinis covering their natural assets.

On tape, under the sun they still look pretty nice rollerblading, biking, and generally frolicking on the beach. Pretty standard stuff; but lively enough due to some snappy editing and music. Yet there's only about five minutes of this Floridian fluff before the camera moves inside for a rather static photo-shoot scenario. Which only proves the unfortunate fact that videotape can't be air-brushed — yet! In a crude studio, under flat lighting, the Florida Girls ain't Penthouse Pets, just average young ladies with decent bods. (One of the brunettes is actually a leggy A-cup with nipples like acorns — a delightful surprise for those who like that look.)

What they really do best is strip, fondle and jiggle. I don't suppose readers would actually oppose that kind of entertainment in principle, but 85 minutes of it in front of a white canvas backdrop with an aluminum ladder for a prop makes one yearn for beach footage like a Rwandan at an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord. Those hungry enough will eat anything, I guess.
