Billed as the "Platinum Club Edition" (is there snof/jerversion?), this disc collects four of the absolute best Takin' It To The Limit scenes, culled from the early volumes of the series, as well as a never-before-released scene featuring Charlie and Roxanne Hall. Each scene is marginally re-edited and re-scored from its original release (frankly, the videotape cut of the Careena Collins scene was better), except, of course, the original Hall/Charlie duo at the end, which is filler at best.

The transfer is crisp and clean, with only intermittent mild pixelation in some of the very dark areas. The extras are negligible, with a stills gallery that's more annoying than entertaining, and the usual fluffy star bios. Still, there are plenty of chapter stops, and the Vanessa Chase scene alone is worth stocking this disc.

What with all the Buttman, Sodomania, Bottom Dwellers and Buttslammers titles being generated by the Evil Angel conglomerate, one can overlook a very simple fact. Bruce Seven hasn't made a hardcore feature in eons. Hard to believe, but its true. Because the other titles bear the distinct, posterior-obsessed style, sexual influence and ringtail orneriness of Seven, we've kind of taken his presence in the XXX world as a given. Well, hold on to your seats (literally) — because you're in for a treat. He's b-a-c-k.

Seven takes the XXX world by storm with a prosaic title called Takin' It To The Limit, a humdinger of a show that makes statements about ass fucking directed and dedicated to the "dirty old men of America."

And, to achieve that goal, Bruce assumes his place in this feature as the symbolic dirty old everyman, the grizzled prospector of the Lost Dutchman mines whose life's ambition is a faithful ass to ride and a panful of butt nuggets to go along with it. Seven's presence is felt immediately from the get-go as Bionca directs bikini-clad Heather St. Claire for some T&A snapshots. Bruce comments about Heather's innocent, girl-next-door looks. (I'd comment about how she looks like a grown up "Blossom" from the TV show of the same name.)

Heather snaps because what she truly wants is a black cock up her ass. She gets her wish when Sean Michaels, with the help of a buzzing vibrator, performs an unassisted d.p. It's a cursory butt fuck that sets the table for when Tom Byron enters the picture and Michaels, as the top man in a for-real d.p., really lets the chips ride in Heather's ass.

Kaitlyn Ashley also establishes grandiose expectations with her power of suggestion wish for an ass fuck. So what begins as a girl/girl scene between her and Danyel Cheeks is a visual sucker punch for the twin-backdoor reaming that occurs when Alex Sanders and Randy West come aboard. West pairs up with Cheeks and gives it to her in the ass in two positions while Sanders goes up Kaitlyn's butt using the side-saddle venue. Score Sanders/Ashley on your prelim cards for best anal scene nomination.

What would a Bruce Seven feature be without the requisite all-girl scene? VixXxen discovers the sobering realities when she becomes the guest-of-honor in a gloveathon that features Suzi Matthews, Danyel Cheeks and Tammi Ann. Among the highlights, Tammi Ann gets d.p.'d, and Matthews gets drilled with a corkscrew dildo up the ass. I wasn't expecting what follows, and it's a bit of a shocker to even write about. Again, Seven sets up an interesting bit of misdirection. Alexis Payne and Sydney Grace appear to be playing out a bondage scenario, when along comes Byron to turn it into an anal fest, as he nails Sydney in the spoon position. Proving that she's a better participant than on-look-er, Alexis rams a syringe up Byron's ass, and before you can whistle a couple of Judy Garland tunes, Byron's taking it full bore up the chute courtesy Alexis and her strap-on.

As the old saying goes, it ain't over 'til Debi Diamond sings, proves true in this case when Deb takes on TT Boy and Peter North. You might think that this would turn into a d.p., but the conclusion proves a bit more interesting. After a series of dick- in-mouth variations, T.T, as the anal point man, gets the honors with Debi. The scene ender has Diamond taking an oil funnel full of cum in the mouth. (It might have made for an interesting bit if she had a ventriloquist dummy singing the Star Spangled Banner to accompany her.)

When it comes to tenaciously stupefying sexual depictions, Bruce Seven has always had this marvelous ability to think ahead of the curve. Once again with Takin' It To The Limit he proves that he's at least three traffic lights ahead of the rest of the adult business. And give Bionca, as director, an enormous amount of credit as Seven's alter-ego. She's concocted a potpourri of unmitigated filth that smacks of classicdom.
