The Kissing Fields is as much of a turn-on as the late comedienne Totie Fields (but at least she had one leg to stand on). The director who has the ladies staring blankly into the camera appears to have been an honor student at the Allen Funt School of Film. Poor continuity, a weak story, and mediocre sex (only four scenes) is as good as it gets.

Let's forget the story (it's non-existent) and concentrate on the sex (which is also virtually non-existent). The opening gratuitous scene has Sean Michaels and Brigitte Aime going through their sex with the enthusiasm of a Steven Wright monologue.

For some reason, unbeknownst to us, Sean winds up on a Spanish speaking island. Through the magic of video and really bad editing it's daytime for one line and nighttime for the next. (Some real craftsmanship here). Sean does his share of drinking and lackluster fucking – oh yeah and some really bad acting. Sean's joined by Joey Verducci and a couple of locals who will be able to pull a sizeable yawn out of you.

The same Zzz's can be said for Sean's encounter with a pair of South American narcoleptics. Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster generated more heat with their soft, sandy swirl in From Here To Eternity. The one scene worth mentioning (and the reason for the extra ½ A) is a Jon Dough/Kitty Yung (in the credits as Zana Que) and Joey Verducci/Brittany O'Connell bar room butt banging. Muy Bueno.

A large disappointment from the usually satisfying series. With a few unused tapes left after shooting Costa Rica Studiesthe folks at Private/OGV figured they had another movie left – Wrong! If hot sex in a tropical location is what you're after then try Beauties In Paradise.
