The "Simply Blue" of the title has multiple meanings. It's artist Ashlyn Gene's mood as she tells friends how she was badgered into having sex with her boss (Marc Wallice) and his friend (Alex Sanders). It figures into her discussion of the Las Vegas night sky -- and it's the color of her underwear in the finale.
But perhaps the title works best in my nomination for the year's Most Outrageous Sex Scene: a blacklight-lit interlude between Malle and Armstrong, after Ashlyn has covered them with fluorescent paint (in fact, she's still dabbing away while Armstrong plots Malle doggie style, in the tape's only anal scene).
Unfortunately, the Felecia/Dallas girl/girler is way too short, as is Roxanne Hall's alleyway hump with Tom Byron. Ashlyn is excellent in both her scenes, but this feature generally lacks the real oomph to push it over the top. Retailers may want to stress the unusual theme of this video -- and hot appearances by Anna and Felecia.
