Slim, busty, impossibly sensual yet charmingly girlish, Jenny (Playmate Of the Year 1994) stirs up a kind of symbolic perfection of the female for which the phrase "quintessential Southern-California blonde" was created.

Here, in a collection of her video work for Playboy —sprinkled with interviews with her sisters, admirers and the ever self-satisfied Hef himself— Jenny appears to be a charming free spirit bolstered by national recognition, but hardly a spoiled show-off as other Playmates have turned out to be.

The number of scenarios in which Jenny exercises her right to self-expression are varied and usually pleasing. The least effective is an elaborate and pretentious piece which shows our grass-roots gal being wheeled down an ER-like corridor with concerned doctors in attendance, then "dying," and passing through a bright light only to re-emerge in what appears to be Liberace's version of heaven —replete with winged angels in a Louis XIV mansion. Puh-leez.

Yet when Jenny is engaged in more natural locations, such as an antique store, or simple field of flowers, her attributes really bloom. Another tempting scenario, shot in black and white, uses minor FX to fill in her lingerie like a moving, sexy coloring book for adults.

Of course, a title like "Best Of" begs the question: what's her "Worst Of?" Not much, except an interview segment with Pauly Shore, which by comparison makes lovely Jenny look like a Mensa candidate.
