For those familiar with the first four volumes in this long running series, let's just say that Michael Ninn is no Gregory Dark…nor does he try to be. But whereas Dark makes edgy pornography that usually turns out to be erotic pornography. Nowhere is this distinction more evident than in New Wave Hookers 5: The Next Generation (NWH5:TNG).

Two worlds are presented here: the seedy, black-and-white (and gray!) world of pimp Silky Smooth (Ron Jeremy), with his housewife-like whores, and the high-tech world of Julius (Jamie Gillis), the "prophet/profit pimp," whose enterprises run from high-class hookers to interdimensional research. It's this latter occupation that gets Gillis into trouble, as it allows Jeremy and his coterie of ladies (Sunset Thomas, Stacy Valentine) to cross over to Gillis' side. The passage quite improves the ladies' looks, and turns Jeremy into a Tex Avery cartoon character. Anyone familiar with that genre will howl at some of NWH5:TNG's visual effects, all of which are worthy of award nomination.

As for the sex, get ready for a mohawked-and-masked Sean Michaels to deliver some hard pussy and anal pounding to vinyl-clad nurses Jeanna Fine and Anna Malle. Te gals later conduct a very thorough, high-tech examination of Thomas, with labia clamps and chrome vibrators for both of the busty blonde's holes.

Juli Ashton, as Gillis' cool, dignified accountant, essays two sex scenes, the first an all-girl threesome in a dark elevator with tailcoated, white-gloved Asia Carrera and Felecia. But perhaps the real star is Vicca, as "Que X – the perfect new wave hooker." The finale, with Vicca delivering mouth-to-cock resuscitation to three Peter Norths is likewise not to be missed, if only for the excellent special effects.

And speaking of sp/fx, even without the hilarious scene featuring Jeremy, Gillis and Sharon Kane, we'd still be pre-noming NWH5:TNG for both Best Special Effects and Art Direction. And we won't be forgetting Vicca when it comes time for that Best New Starlet list.

We also happen to know that Ninn shot much, much more footage than appears in this tape, so watch out for what's likely to be a very interesting DVD in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, retailers should get ready for the swarm of porn hounds who'll want to check out this video now!
