Well, thirty years later along comes the ‘90s version, The Mating Game, with the same format (sort of), the same type of obnoxious host, and the same cheesy Tijuana Brass-ish theme music. Here a stud questions three bachelorettes, then fucks the babe of his choice on the Love Mattress, after which viewers call in with questions to the post-coital couple.

The sex is basically unedited, and that can produce less-than-spectacular results. But there’s something involving about the unrehearsed nature of the video, and the “real” questions from viewers and the girls’ spontaneous responses. The downside to the chatter is that it almost skins the whole thing. Between the questions, responses, and the awkward pauses, the sex almost becomes a minor aspect.
