Some people like their smut arty and some people like their smut smutty. Given its emphasis upon simple yet elegant set design and better-than-average camera work, Haiku will appeal to most of the former and a few of the latter, but will leave those looking for bone-crunching sex a little unsatisfied.

Each scene is set outdoors, and features and Asian girl or two slipping out of her generically "Oriental" robes and into some East-meets-West sex with an Occidental dude. The last two scenes, starring Kimi Ji and Brooke Ashley, feature anal. Each scene is self consciously pretty. Unfortunately, despite a strong cast and eye-charming scenery, there is very little genuine heat here.
