All About Eva, as you may have guessed, is a remake of Hollywood's All About Eve, and tracks that one's plot fairly closely. It stars Julie Rage as Eva, the wannabe porn superstar, and Nina Hartley as the not-so-aging veteran of the hardcore trenches.
It's clear from Hartley's opening strip dance that this woman is still one of the sexiest babes ever to light up your TV screen's phosphors. And watching her hard body ripple under the ministrations of Rage's tongue in the opening girl/girler will be raising dicks all over the country... and places this scene and both babes high on my pre-nom list for Best All-Girl Scene, Best Actress (Julie) and Best Supporting Actress (Nina).
After that, things start to get a bit disjoined. The Holli Woods/T.T. Boy kitchen bangeroo is good, but it's intercut with Tony Montana and buxom blonde Harley Raynes getting it on atop a pool table.. and that scene doesn't show a cumshot until after it's been intercut with Julie and Shanna McCullough getting it on in the bedroom! Take our work, it's fairly frustrating, as good as all that action is.
Of those scenes, however, the McCullough/North pairing is the best, with Shanna sucking North's nipples, some terrific mish-anal action, and a cumshot to top the yardstick. Next best is Boy riding Woods horsie-style over the kitchen counter, and giving her an occasional ass smack... for speed, perhaps? And you won't want to miss newcomer Raynes' bouncing bazooms, if for no other reason than that they look sooo good... as does Ms. Rage in the next scene, where she rubs her tits and pussy seductively on Rod Fontana's couch before the pair drops into the missionary clinch. Looks like something was cut out, though, when he suddenly blows his spoo on her ass.
The sexual finale, true to the mainstream film's plot, has Rage scheming to get Hartley's starring role in Fontana's "big production" -- the one Hartley's counting on to revitalize her career. With Hartley lured away, Rage jumps right into a 69th Street bridge between Mark Davis and Steve Hatcher, which (alas) turns too soon into a d.p. with a dual facial finish.
All About Eva is far and away the best work director Fontana has done to date. Both the feature itself and Fontana's direction are pre-nom-worthy... and Tight Ends honcho Bobby Rinaldi shows himself to be quite a fair (if derivative) screenwriter. With an attractive boxcover and an available p.o.p. poster, retailers should stock up on this scorcher right out of the chute, lest they be forced to reorder later.
