OK, so Annabelle Lee's been grounded. She calls up friend after friend (repeating her dialogue almost verbatim) to see if they'll come over for a visit. Surprise! Her girlfriends are grounded, too. They've all been caught playing around with boys. Each phone call precipitates a flashback to the particular dirty deed.
With a creative spin, Curfew has potential, but tepid product is tepid product. The wraparounds that work best are bookenders: Claudia Downs being d.p.'d; plus a lesbian encounter 'tween Haley James and Annabelle Lee. The first is nasty and the finale, romantic.
Retailing: Girls remember the boy trouble that got them grounded.
