This title exemplifies the European softcore genre of the 1970s. Vanessa, played by Olivia Pascal, is an innocent, convent-raised girl who inherits a plantation and a chain of Hong Kong brothels upon the death of her parents. The plantation is run by a dissolute manager who challenges the inheritance in court and tries to seduce virginal Vanessa on the side.
There's an astounding amount of plot shoehorned into this movie and a great deal of decadence and nudity, as well. Not to mention the Orientalist local color and the sex magic rites. Poor Vanessa herself never quite manages to lose her virginity, although she does engage in a lesbian romp and has some very kinky flashbacks to the convent.
Retailing: European heiress adrift in Asia; solid '70s Golden Age.
