There is nothing artistic about this lackluster tape in which a beret-wearing painter does quick charcoal sketches of two ladies in various uncreative, tied poses. The artist himself, who chatters on in a terrible faked accent ranging from Southern to French to English, unties the women after each pose, but the actual neat knots are created off-camera. Instead of sitting still, as is conventional for those having their portrait done, the women unenthusiastically "struggle." Their pointless undulation makes them look as if they are struggling not against the rope, but against the possibility of a static image. In some scenes, random background conversations can be heard on the soundtrack.
