Okay, so they renamed Roddy McDowell's Cornelius character "Cocknelius" - that's about where the parody aspect of this Planet of the Apes remake ends. Otherwise, it's a straightforward remake of the original (save the amusing NRA joke ending). Director Jim Powers makes a wise decision to give the bulk of the extensive dialogue here to mainstream actors in ape suits, rather than the porn performers playing the humans, but all that monkey chatter doesn't make for white-hot porn. Steven St. Croix turns in a good performance in the Charlton Heston role; his scene with Asia Carerra is the best in the tape. A decent anal between caged humans Flick Shagwell and Dave Hardman works as well. Good locations mimic the original as well.
