Though not as hardcore as their previous offerings, Slick City is a near-future fetish tale that will entertain hardcore fetish enthusiasts and couples (yes, couples) looking for something on the wild side.
Full-time fetish model extraordinaire Dita Von Teese plays Lela Devin (showcased in kink couture that's sure to make many women think of latex as the new black), a fetish queen-cum-private investigator who is searching for her missing computer programmer pal. While on his trail she uncovers a plot that has more to do with people than pixels, mixing pleasure with business all the while. The scoring by Aaron Nicholes and a track contributed by ex-Go Go Jane Wiedlin helps set the mood well, earning the feature a Best Musical Score pre-nom.
Make no mistake; the story is thought through and has a solid plot more interesting than many hardcore offerings, with great performances that are a far cry from the usual "Oh, lookit the dungeon we have here." John Fitzgerald must be applauded for maintaining a high level of quality in his work, and for being able to draw together a case that works well. (Pre-nom for Best Videography.)
Serious fetishists will want to take note of Ernest Greene and Nina Hartley (yes - Nina Hartley) in a dungeon scene that showcases Greene's legendary skills as a Top and Hartley playing the role of a very well behaved sub. It's a safe bet that it's not just a role that she's playing and the scene goes from whipping post to boot licking with delicious pacing and timing -- but top-drawer performances is the rule, and not the exception, in this video.
Slick City will make a good selection for those looking to see what the fuss about BDSM is, and for those who are in the know. With excellent production values, a strong storyline and a love for their product, GwenMedia's latest release may also be their most accessible to viewers who might not otherwise have liked the kinky stuff.
