Boasting multiple angles, wide-screen format and over a dozen couples, this is an introductory entry in what the producers call "the ultimate sexual position series." Unfortunately, the numerous pop-up video windows, muzak-y score and generally spud-like "real people" performers create an infomercial effect that's sure to wilt even the stoutest of wood. While various partners illustrate the basic techniques of missionary, doggie-style, spooning and so on, the tape's sex therapist host Dr. Perry dispenses voiceover lectures more suitable for laughs than instruction ("A man can feel powerful, and vigorous thrusting can be a real turn-on!" he says in a tone reminiscent of Heaven's Gate cult leader Marshall Applewhite). Perhaps someday a few suburban kids will learn something when they find this tape hidden in their square parents' "secret drawer" next to the adult board games and a decade-old tube of congealed Astroglide.
