Randy Spears is troubled by vivid dreams of his past, which tend to continue even after he is awake. Or is he? He goes in search of Shay Sights, who, an authority figure in his dream tells him, can straighten things out. He finds her in the back room of a strip club, writhing under the tongue of Shyla Stylez. Spears then reads his obit in AVN (including a telling line that "Spears death ends the famous Sex Trek series") and we flash back to Tyce Buné stepping in to do the scene for the deceased Spears. Spears reflects that we can all be replaced and he morphs into Buné. He (Buné-as-Spears) runs into the authority figure who tells him "Normal is boring. Crazy is better," after Buné/Spears complains about his life: "Try having a normal anything when you do this for a living," Buné/Spears responds.
"You want Shay," the authority figure says. And then the authority figure morphs into Shay. "Tell me I'm wrong, Randy," she/he tells Buné/Spears.
"I'm Tyce Buné now," he says. "When are you gonna do boy/girl scenes again?"
"In your dreams," she purrs as a girl comes in and licks her calf - and other parts.
Finally home again, Spears is welcomed back by Sondra Hall. And post-orgasm, Spears reflects that sometimes you do get what you want - but you may find out that you were only dreaming.
Markman's script and direction mesh together like a well-oiled machine, and the seamless special effects add to the enjoyment. Excellent performances from Spears, Buné-as-Spears, and Miles Douglas as the authority figure. Pre-nom for non-sex role for Douglas.
