After spending two years in jail on a trumped-up assault charge, Cheyne Collins finds himself confronted by his accuser, an apologetic Raylene ("I'm really, really, really sorry.") who hands him a set of keys to a house with a female servant (April), and a check for $5,000,000. ("I did really well while you were away.")
Collins wastes no time getting better acquainted with April ("It's in my contract."), but things aren't what they seem, and the servant turns out to be a hostage for her husband's gambling debts. We flash back to Collins and Raylene before the arrest, and watch the goings-on at the hostage-taker's pad, where he sits on a toilet on a platform and picks dildos for naked women to use on each other. In a dark ending, Collins bails April out, but he regrets it.
Another grim meditation from Stanley. Raylene fans will be happy to see her in two scenes.
