Unlike its film library, which is a pretty consistent proposition from the word "go," Vivid's video features tend to be hit-or-miss affairs, depending on the director.  Recipe for Sex, about a French restaurant where just about everything -- including the menu -- is up for grabs, provides a succulent soupcon of sex, served up with dry wit and an attractive cast (including Jessica Darlin and leggy Kelli Cage). If blondes are your speed, this is it.

Because the videography is par excellence from the get-go, it stands the reason that the DVD transfer benefits accordingly, which it does.  The skin quotient is lavish, except the scenes suffer from very limited and unspectacular choices in the multiple angles category.  The group orgy, however, is definitely a winner.
