The zipless fuck, as 1970s feminist novelist Erica Jong called it, is the standard in porn: no muss, no fuss … no consequences. Not so in the complex world of New Sensations’ erotic couples features. Consequences abound in Shared Wives, a feature directed by Paul Thomas and scripted by Raven Touchstone for New Sensations’ new Swingers line.

First off, this is a beautifully shot movie, with interesting visual and auditory effects for flashback scenes, and gorgeous lighting. The story is genuinely interesting with naturalistic performances by the four leads. Richie Calhoun plays the sensitive, gentle Will, who’s married to restless Mindy (Jessie Andrews); to celebrate their anniversary, Mindy orders up a paid playmate (Gracie Glam), but Will refuses to take the offer, saying it feels like cheating. For the benefit of the audience, the deal goes down in the characters’ own minds—a satisfying romp with great visuals provided by Will’s trendy vintage motorcycle shop.

But Mindy still wants to flesh out her fantasies, and an opportunity comes from co-worker Karla (Andy San Dimas), whose husband, Gabe (Eric Swiss), wants to watch her with another man. So the girls decide to pursue the matter, despite firm refusals from both of their mates. Eventually they get their way—and the resulting four-way is suitably arousing. But these fucks are far from zipless, being filled with the messy emotions that accompany most human relations, not to mention a couple of plot twists that are best left unspoiled.

In addition, viewers will find two scenes that offer more standard porn fare: lascivious boss Nick Manning nails willing employee Lexi Belle in the office, and randy dance instructor Evan Stone impales Brandy Aniston in the restroom at the club where the two couples meet for a double date. So you get your sex served up both ways here: no strings attached, and also with the usual ties that bind … and occasionally chafe.
