Brad Armstrong’s costume extravaganza is an erotic take on classic fairy tales — and definitely an adult one, unfolding in “a dark world where evil lives and danger lurks.” In this retelling, the stories explore what men and women “truly crave when darkness falls.” Shot on film with very high production values, the movie has an old-time Hollywood gloss. Jessica Drake plays the Story Lady narrator and appears in three of the five scenes. As Sleeping Beauty, she is awakened by a good fuck from her prince, Justin Magnum. Later, to lift the curse on a prince who was turned into a frog, she blows three guys before finding true love — and even then there’s a catch. Chelsie Rae as Little Red Riding Hood has her butt pounded by “wolf” Tyler Knight. Mikayla, as Rapunzel, lets down her hair for Tommy Gunn, who gets way more than he bargained for. Randy Spears plays a Pied Piper who rids a town not of rats, but of harlots, then parties with the hos in a well shot orgy. Among the DVD extras is a scene that wasn’t used due to technical foul-ups, which Armstrong explains to the viewer. Still, “Cinderella’s Nightmare,” despite exposure problems, is well worth seeing. Wicked has lavished unusual care on the presentation, from the clever pop-up book DVD menus to the box itself, one of the handsomest packages they’ve ever assembled. It may not mean much to the average porn fan, but for the collector of erotica this is a covetable object, something that can’t be downloaded or streamed. Pre-nom: Best Film. Best Packaging. Retailing: Pitch this as a porn collector’s item, a product only retail outlets can offer. — Jared Rutter
