Don't let the title fool you; this is not just another European porn offering, but an all-American romp. For the uninitiated, the Russian River is one of California's more bucolic gay hot spots, a sort of bohemian getaway. And things get decidedly more interesting when the filmmakers at Jocks Studios blow into town with six horny dudes and a film crew in tow. The cast may be scant, but this pack of lean, youthful post-twinks packs a wallop. Filmed gonzo style, the on-the-fly format works exceptionally well here, as these guys are more interested in getting their nut than looking pretty under hot lights. Note that the director and his film crew are an integral part of Russian River, chatting it up with the models before and immediately after they have sex. The sometimes shaky camera and passing shadows give viewers the sense that the action is unfolding in real time; the cock-slurping and sleazy rimming are anything but scripted. R.J. Danvers is a knockout, easily the hungriest bottom of the lot. He opens the film with scrappy James Hamilton, getting plowed in a moving RV while the crew navigates through busy West Coast traffic. Later that afternoon, Danvers takes part in a five-man Jacuzzi fuckfest, going ass up and making some serious waves during the film's most fuck-nasty segment.

RETAILING: Go gonzo! This is an interesting twist on the Jocks line of films with models talking directly into the camera.
