Fernando, the hero of director Avery Willard’s arty porn flick, hardly puts one in mind of the Greek mythological figure Narcissus. Sadly, Fernando just isn’t interesting to watch, in or out of leather, gear which by today’s standards is modest. Willard has his subject prancing through the funhouse of 1970s New York City, glancing into every conceivable kind of mirrored surface he finds. He’s so turned on by what he sees, he’s compelled to whip out his smallish prick and stroke to his own reflection. The film has value, but only as an artifact of an urban culture that no longer exists, a silly and strange attempt to eroticize one very unlikely model.
