When none of the models in a classic film are built, attractive or nicely hung, you wonder why anyone bothered to arrange for a DVD re-release. With Men Grip Tighter, could it have something to do with Robert Prion, the film's prolific director? Or maybe it has something to do with the mysterious "award of merit" given by the equally mysterious Gay Film Institute? Regardless, because of the 25-year-old production values, all that glorious pre-condom action is alternately flat and colorless, or out of focus. The vintage trailer reel is kind of fun in a nostalgic kind of way, though. RETAILING: Shelve with other rediscovered classic titles. Wes Collins
