The barely realized military theme mostly consists of a few pieces of inconsistent costuming - some fatigue pants here, a camouflage hat there - but the sets look like a cheap apartment that could be anyplace but a barracks. The action moves at a lazy pace throughout and, although the sound is live, the actors remain mostly mute, even when they are deeply involved in sucking and fucking. Camerawork is unimaginative and at times misses the focus of the action completely. One cast member, the bald and nipple-pierced stud Rhett Williams, is the most interesting performer, vigorously topping his playmate while at times giving the camera a devilish sidelong grin, but even his performance is undermined by a below-the-action shot of fucking that is darkly lit and almost unwatchable. The generally stoic dispositions of the rest of the cast give a feeling of "let's just get this over with," which the audience will undoubtedly share.
