Edits are awkward, there's a shortage of fuck close-ups, the goddamn camera wobbles all over the place, the eclectic score seems arbitrary and sometimes inappropriate, and the director needs to learn to light black asses so their cracks show, but nevertheless, this is an entertaining, nasty little film noir about black and Latino dealers who let customers pay for their product with sucks and fucks. What the sex-scenes lack in artistry is made up for by the meaning the sordid little story gives to the sex, and by good acting all around, especially from principal dealers Rock and Mac. The result is a believable all-male narcotic-erotic underworld-and let's hope that in his next movie, the director will spare us the still photographer's flashbulbs that break that illusion. One overlong solo slows the generally energetic pace.
