Even though it’s nice to see a group of guys other than the same roundup of picture perfect 20-somethings, there are some men who should just not step in front of the unforgiving camera lens. This well-intentioned little offering features an unconventional cast doing their best to burn white hot despite the inevitable extra pounds most of the models are packing around their midsections. Joe Romero may be the only familiar face amongst a group of 40-plus unknowns. The camera work here is negligible, shaky to the point of distraction, the models often looking bewildered as the film crew scrambles for a better angle. The end result is five vanilla duos, none standing out above the others.

RETAILING: This low budget title would fit nicely with intergenerational films or with films in the “bear” genre.
