This latest entry in male stripper videos, directed at both gay and heterosexual audiences, bills itself as "the male strip video with a difference." The difference is an erection.

These five dancers, all save one performing on a bare stage in an empty set, go through the usual bump and grind down to the g-string, drop the g-string, then magically appear genitalia erectus. How they got hard is a mystery, and this little bit of blue smoke and mirrors is the failing of Hard Men: No Strings Attached.

Sure the guys are hot, but three of the five have appeared in either gay or bisexual features before. The dancing isn't very imaginative and the production values are standard. One scene, with Johnny Davenport, has a single ringside patron, (a lady who almost gets into the act). It's cute, but it looks like it should have been a scene in Innocence Lost, in which Davenport appears as a male stripper and on the same stage, no less.

The video constantly switches from the interior stage set to more specific locations (different ones for each stripper), so the end product is less a stripper video per se than a look at five hot guys getting undressed here and there. That's OK, except it says "male stripper video" on the box. I don't know about you, but I wanted to see male dancers of the caliber of the Chippendale men, not porn actors, seductively gyrating themselves to an erection before my very eyes. And that, unfortunately, is not to be found in Hard Men.
