The scene that opens this feature, even before the credits, doesn't work for two reasons: the actor and his lines. "So you want a real man?" asks the homely heterosexual. And my answer is a resounding "NO!" I don't suspect I will be alone in that reaction. But fortunately, once this solo prelude is finished and the credits have flashed across the screen, the situation improves. The viewer is offered a variety of situation in which straight men may engage in gay sex: fantasies, when the wives are away, on a trip to the mountains. The scenarios are believable and the sexual encounters persuasive, but somehow the spark of lust never truly ignites. Other viewers, however, may find that it plugs more neatly into their fantasies, and the technical quality is good throughout.
