Lee Bowman is a very bad choice for the box cover model and lead performer for any video that involves both pictures and sound. He's attractive enough in a genetically buff sort of way, but his obvious missing teeth and droning, often hard-to-understand voice make him a profound disappointment. And yet, he is used extensively throughout the production and is given a ton of dialogue, playing the customer of a futuristic video and phone sex service. This is only one element that makes Voice Male the most uneven Catalina production in years. On the down side, you have Bowman and some very poor sound recording. On the up side, you have a terrific sex scene between Jeff Dillon and sex puppy/newcomer Bill Watkins. The non-sexual performers, playing various lunatic types populating the dating service are generally amusing. And the rest of the cast does a good job as well, although I felt terribly sorry for Bill Marlowe, having to look like he enjoys tongue kissing Bowman's hollow cavern of a mouth.
