This atmospheric story of two lovers involved in the building of a gay resort — and nearly pulled apart by the pressure of meeting construction deadlines — profits from the sure-handed direction of Josh Eliot and the fine editing of Chet Thomas. The outdoor locales for most of the sex scenes avoid the claustrophobia of so many studio shoots, and the screenplay is definitely above average. The main problems lie with the cast, who are simply not that interesting to watch or listen to. Kirk Olson and David Rockmore, as the two lovers, just don't strike erotic or dramatic fire, and like many viewers, I am very, very weary of Alan Shea. Wes Daniels and Ted Matthews provide the high spots of the cast, but alone they cannot give the video the sexual heat it needs. But technical and production values make this one worth watching in spite of the uneven cast.
