Talent, experience, loving attention to detail, and a willingness to turn out only a few titles a year allow Buckshot to maintain very high standards — and the resulting Buckshot reputation attracts a calibre of model not often seen from other houses. Number 9 in the Minute Man solo series is up to par, with welcome return visits from luscious Mike Timber and awesome Jake Tanner (with a guest appearance from Jake's real-life lover, Ed Dinakos), plus buffed young newcomers Jarrod Parks and Tom Harnett. What's notable about MM9 is the gay romance angle that permeates and enhances each vignette. There's no pandering to straight macho myths or to a presumed female audience, which is quite a nice evolution to observe in Buckshot's consciousness. Bravo! The Buckshot box is immediately identifiable on the shelf— customers can't miss it.
