Each of the five vignettes in Idol Dreams starts off with one of the players telling us this was his first, or most unexpected, or most intense (etc.) experience, but these introductory labels seem pretty superficial and arbitrary.

The package is designed to highlight newcomer Tony Idol, who opens the video paired with Britisher Dave Logan and ends by playing boy to Donnie Russo's daddy, but Idol hardly seems like headliner material and inevitable comparison with Ryan Idol will do him no favors. Filling out the video, spoiled rich kid Brett Ford seduces gardener Jimmy Dante, tycoon Brian Nichols does it with chauffeur Scott Russell in a Rolls Royce, and building inspector Ky Paxton does a thorough job checking out warehouse worker Blue Blake (whose East Coast dirty talk and big muscles make him the most interesting thing in the video).

Cookie-cutter Catalina quality keeps this production above average, but in the end it's just meat and potatoes.

A good feature to stock but be sure to point out to your customers that the title bears no relevancy to Ryan Idol.
