Obsessed with a porn star of the '70s (Chase Hunter), young Greg Ross keeps watching an ancient 16 -mm loop over and over. Imagine what happens when the star starts talking back to him — and then appears in the flesh.

That's the premise for this light-hearted, witty look at '70s vs. '90s sensibilities. (As Greg's friends Tyler Scott and Steve Maverick observe, stars then had mustaches and huge dicks; stars now are shaved all over and have so many muscles "they look like they're gonna explode!") Chase goes looking for work in the unfamiliar medium of video, seducing the producer (Tony Styles) who wants him to shave his mustache, but then he fades back to fantasy land, leaving Greg to find a real-life lover (Mark West). But there's always the 16 -mm loop to watch for inspiration...

A more finished script could have pushed this video over the top, but it's still impressive for its amiable humor and credible fantasy. (The "old loop" footage featuring Chase and Donnie Russo looks and sounds absolutely authentic — which makes it both hot and hilarious — thanks to videographer Brad Austin and scorer Randy Packer.) Oddly, the box copy gives no indication at all of the charming storyline
