Director Summers once set the standard for solo tapes, using elaborate props and lighting and steamy first-person voiceovers (he even got best-selling author Lars Eighner to write one of his scripts). This stripped-down production (all shot in the same bedroom) stresses simplicity; the set never changes, just the sheets. There's no voiceover and no theme, unless the title refers to morning hard-ons. Still, a few props and instantly recognizable types supply enough material for viewers to make their own fantasies -- a leather jacket, white underwear (a favorite Summers fetish), dog tags and fatigues, the black guy, the clone, the blond with muscles, the friendly military dork with a wedding ring, tattoos and a big dick.
The bodies are hard and lean, camerawork and editing are never static, and the jazzy score (credit to The 506 and Giardia) is nicely understated. Even on a low budget, Summers always seems to exhibit impeccably good taste.
