Since most daytime dramas are softcore porn with an extensive array of bedding, foliage of bubbles covering the naughty parts, it makes sense to make a great porn soap rip-off. Gays of Our Lives almost succeeds. The plot is pure soap: The boss at Hard Corp. has died, leaving everything to an illegitimate heir. Their rivals at Dick Press are out to find the heir and woo him to their side and rule Hard Corp. Together with the detectives from O'Lottotimes & Thrust detective Agency, a lot of men's bottoms are searched for an elusive birthmark.

Most of the six scenes are simple set-ups for the sucking and fucking, and one would hope the acting would rise above daytime standards. The sex scenes, however, are above average. There is a great interracial pairing with Lucas James and Winston Love, and the final encounter between cover boy Rob Steel and Leo DeSilver is worth sitting through this video for. Production values are above par and the O'Brian brothers keep the action and the camera work moving. A great job is done of introducing this talented cast, and the vid deserves a sequel.
