Francis Ellie's "Color Classic," as the film is touted on
its new-to-DVD release packaging, has all the free-spirited (meaning:
pre-condom) joy and campy sex scene set-ups one can expect from a 1979 classic.
Worth watching for the soundtrack alone, Men
Come First is a true screamer: funny, fierce, farcical, fabulous. Star
George Payne is swishy but strangely sexy as the salesman with a little
something extra. Film transfers faithfully and is a fun romp down memory lane,
harkening back to the days when gay sex was synonymous with mustaches, vans,
and amyl nitrite. Ah, the good old days.
RETAILING: This is the kind of flick
that puts the "theater" in "porn theater." Sell popcorn with this DVD - gay
porn has never been so entertaining.
