Reviews

Very high production values went into the making of this European release chock full of fresh, young, new faces. Though shot without dialogue, there is a convincing voice-over narrative provided by the main character who stumbles into a haunted mansion with his best pal Lukas Wink. The two guys begin reading a sort of diary that reveals the lurid history of the mansion's former inhabitants, two lovers who enjoyed a variety of lusty encounters with handsome young men who ambled across their paths.

In sensual flashbacks, the entries in the diary come to life as the moody music swells and the candles burn lower, inevitably getting the trespassers aroused. Enter the ghost. The former tenant materializes in the mirror and lures the young trespassers into his world. They become a chapter in the book as well as the mansion's new tenants, living happily ever after. In an obvious attempt to highlight the artistry which went into the production, the video was letterboxed unnecessarily since it was shot on video to begin with, and the aspect ratio would have already conformed to the television screen. But that's a small gripe.

Pre-nom for Best Foreign Release as well as Best Videography.
