Reviews

Gino Colbert and Sam Slam, the award-winning directing/writing team behind Three Brothers, have released a new feature that uses the signature style that the directing duo employed in the previous release, but unfortunately lacks one crucial hook: the Rockland brothers have dwindled from three to one. Vince Rockland, not quite coming out of retirement, what that his scene was shot more than a year and a half ago, puts in a memorable performance, and his legions of fans will clamor to own or rent his latest, provided they can spot his photo tucked away on the back of the box.

Rather than utilizing a full-length narrative, the directors have opted, once again, to present four well-written situations, filled with both humor and political satire, as the points of departure for the sex. The sex plays on the homosexual fantasy of conquering straight men while their women are away, a thematic throwback to gay porn from the seventies. For example, sexy Drew Andrews plays a recently-divorced television heartthrob about to attend his 10-year high school reunion. A masked psychotic, played by Rockland, ties up Andrews' agent and date (Johnny Rahm and Sharon Kane) and then taunts Andrews for being a gay basher in school. It seems in high school, Rockland was a nerd who felt the brunt of Andrews' homophobia, a condition rooted in Andrews' secret lust for the target of his abuse. Rockland harbors the same latent desire and after 10 years, their misdirected attraction hits its mark, and they attend the reunion as an openly gay couple. Pre-nom this strong release for Best Screenplay, Heaven Leigh and Johnny Rahm for Best Non-Sex Role(s), Best Sex Scene for the Rockland/Andrews coupling, and Best Threesome for the finale with Jon Vincent (his final video role before his death), J.T. Sloan and Sweet Williams.
