Reviews

Director Paul Barresi had a well-publicized affair with John Travolta in the '70s (if you believe Barresi's tabloid tales), so it's not surprising that he pays homage to the once-buff superstar with a send-up of last year's Travolta hit The General's Daughter. In this version, General Anthony DeAngelo is concerned that son Jay Alexander is spending too much time with company chaplain Drew Andrews. So DeAngelo asks aide Cameron Cruise to check up on his potentially gay offspring. But the general doesn't realize that Junior isn't the only one getting busy on this Marine base. In one of the video's highlights, supercute private Stonie and tough-talking drill sergeant Paul Morgan don't ask and don't tell to good effect. Eventually we learn that the General is a flag-waving cocksucker himself - but not before we are treated to a nice assortment of men and some above-average sex. After this summer's Battlefield Earth debacle, the now-portly Travolta could benefit from a film with this much heat.
