European directors have always had a fascination with that icon of masculinity, the cowboy, and the grandeur of the American West. That fascination sparked an entire film genre known as "the spaghetti western." Now that the entertainment market, including porn, has opened up to the eastern bloc countries, viewers are being treated to new genres of work. Czechs also appear to be fascinated with the cowboy, and Saddle Sore is a prime example of what can be called "the halupki western."
Lacking the vastness of the American West, Saddle Sore confines itself to rustic interiors, barns with horses and finely furnished rooms with couches and mirrors. Despite some authenticity problems, director Robert Boggs has crafted an enjoyable tape with a hot, hung, uncut cast who fuck up a storm, generally in the form of threeways. Euro-philes will get a rise out of Saddle Sore, which deserves a pre-nom nod for Best Foreign Release.
