DVDNo one loves Michael Lucas more than Michael Lucas, but several characters from the New York demimonde admit in this documentary that they too are enamored, with RuPaul going so far as to call Lucas a hero. Not everyone agrees, of course, and Lucas gets points for being either honest enough or incautious enough to include footage of the incident at the GAYVN awards where he was pelted with ice as he accepted the Best Picture award for Dangerous Liaisons. Michael Musto and Hedda Lettuce provide some of the funniest commentary and The Lady Bunny is as off-the-cuff snarky as Amanda LePore is completely clueless. As for the cast, Lucas seems nonplussed that award-winner Kent Larson has actual acting ability, even insulting the poor guy after the fact. Gus Mattox fares far better, seemingly the most grounded, real, and sexy man in the cast.

RETAILING: There is nudity, but the focus is on behind-the-scenes stuff, like funny bits from Michael Musto and Bruce Vilanch.
