NEW YORK—“Red Umbrella Talk,” the five-part podcast on sex work produced by Naked News producer and host Laura Desiree and photographer Ellen Stagg, is now available on the CAM4 Radio Network.
“We are incredibly thrilled to support 'Red Umbrella Talk' through the CAM4 Radio Network platform,” says CAM4 Radio’s managing producer Shannon McD. “This series offers unprecedented access to subject matter experts who offer unparalleled insight into the ecosystem of sex work that most of society knows very little about… but we can bet they’re quite curious!”

Each episode focuses on the world of sex work, such as a discussion on porn with performers Romi Rain and Lotus Lain, a question-and-answer session with dominatrixes Eva Oh and Mistress Natalie King, and more. Desiree and Stagg launched the show after curating a list of burning questions from the public and industry insiders. The series is shot live on location at the Museum of Sex in New York City and airs on YouTube.
The series culminates with a discussion with first amendment attorneys Lawrence Walters and Robert Corn-Revere. The conversation offers insight into the devastating impact SESTA/FOSTA legislation has had on sex workers and the proliferation of sexual censorship online.
“The reason in creating this series was to right the wrongs of misinformation and misconceptions our general public circulates, perpetuates, and refers to when building their opinion of sex work. In our final installation to this five-part series, I hold court with first amendment lawyers who bring to light the reality that there is a historic effort by our lawmakers to censor sexual expression of all kinds, which is a dangerous reality that impacts the freedoms of all people—not JUST sex workers! Sex workers are on the front line of a real battle against sexuality that threatens the rights of us ALL,” said Desiree.
