LOS ANGELES—Seth Gamble, who won AVN's Best Actor award at January's AVN Awards, has been nominated for a 2019 XRCO (X-Rated Critics Organization) award for Best Actor, following his dead-on starring role in the popular Wicked Comix feature, Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.
“Playing Deadpool was truly an incredible opportunity, as was taking on the lead role in the AVN Movie of the Year, The Possession of Mrs. Hyde,” said Gamble. “Bringing to life these two completely different characters in the same year was a tremendous challenge that took a lot of focus and hard work, and I am forever thankful to Axel Braun and Wicked Pictures for believing in me, supporting me, and allowing me to show everybody what I can do.”
A professionally-trained actor with a sharp wit and flair for comedic delivery, Gamble was a natural fit for the role that perfectly parodies Marvel Comics’ snarky anti-hero—so much so that he won the Best Actor trophy for Deadpool XXX at the 2019 AVN Awards earlier this year.
“To the XRCO critics and reviewers that watch lots of porn and saw many great performances by many great actors, I say, 'Thank you for this nomination',” said Gamble. “We are a tight-knit group of professionals who love what we do, and we really do appreciate the recognition for our work.”
Gamble, who started in the business over a decade ago in his native South Florida, is grateful that he’s now working with the industry’s best studios, co-stars and directors, while also getting a chance to flex his acting muscles.
