There’s no denying Axel Braun knows his stuff when it comes to superhero porn parodies. The fact he’s a fan of the source material is evident, as everything from the costumes to the plots to the dialogue is always spot on. (In some cases, it’s even better than the mainstream Hollywood film versions.) But Deadpool XXX:An Axel Braun Parody could very well be his crowning achievement in the genre.

First off, there’s the casting. Seth Gamble was a perfect choice for the title character—he delivers a performance of Seth Gamble as Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool that is practically flawless. Even though he never takes off the hood, you can still pick up on every eye roll, wink and snarky expression the role calls for. And Brad Armstrong delivers a Cable that’s so reminiscent of the Josh Brolin version it’s a shame we aren’t given more of him in this parody. But a real treat for comic fans is the inclusion of two Dominos—portrayed by Ana Foxxx snd Jennifer White. The women bridge the gap between the Neena Thurman character of the comics and the Zazie Beetz character from 2018’s summer blockbuster Deadpool 2. As an added bonus, the Dominos kick off the sex scenes of this parody with an intense girl/girl scene that features plenty of finger fucking.

Jennifer also delivers a killer blowjob on Seth—who remains in costume, and character, the entire time—that, in her character’s estimation, doesn’t last long enough for her to really show off her oral skills.

Rounding out the stellar sex scenes is the parody’s climax, when viewers are treated to oral, missionary, a little double penetration and more between Seth’s Deadpool, Armstrong’s Cable, Jessica Drake as Lady Deadpool and Nikki Delano as the “fluffer.”

But—and even we admit it’s weird to say this about a porn—some of the movie’s best moments come from the non-sex actors. Seth does an amazing job as the “Merc with a Mouth,” understandably frustrated that it’s so difficult for him to get laid in his own porn parody. But that all falls right in line with what makes the Deadpool character in all formats so much fun: the mainstream version has an attitude of irreverence to the tropes of superhero movies and the art of movie-making in general. Braun takes that irreverence and twists it a bit here: he pokes a bit of fun at not only how superhero porn parodies are made, but at himself as well.

Early on, Deadpool XXX:An Axel Braun Parody gets pretty meta, giving a bit of a behind-the-scenes look at how adult movies are made. Casual fans of porn will appreciate the humor—watch with the sound on … Seth’s “pussy” joke alone is worth catching—but grizzled veterans will at a minimum chuckle at the inside jokes, if not full-on belly laugh at the performances turned in by James Bartholet, Will Ryder and Braun himself.

To say there’s something for everyone in Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody doesn’t really do this movie justice. Braun—and everyone in his cast and crew—hits every note, from the stellar costumes to the witty and laugh-out-loud script to the editing to the title cards and all the incredible sex and amazing acting in between. Braun has truly outdone himself the time around, and the bar for superhero porn parodies has definitely been raised.
