LOS ANGELES—AVN Media Nework has announced the induction of Jimmy James into the AVN Hall of Fame's Executive Branch.
James has been recognized by AVN for his exceptional contributions to the management of adult businesses in a career that began in the late 90s and grew into contributing to the success of many brands, studios and companies both domestically and internationally.
Recognition to the AVN Hall of Fame Executive Branch does not come easily; well-rounded nominees undergo an extensive vetting process to determine who will achieve the distinction.
"Jimmy has demonstrated incredible leadership in every facet of his outstanding career," said Dan Miller, editor-in-chief of AVN. "We congratulate him on his well-deserved place in the Hall of Fame."
Jimmy has managed multiple award-winning organizations as an executive, serving as a partner in growing small and now large-scale organizations from business strategy and marketing to corporate management.
He has served on the production side, the internet/web and at the corporate level. Some of the organizations he has worked with include Peter North's Northstar Enterprises; Gamma Entertainment; joint ventures on successful industry product launches such as Bone Master; and he founded the pioneering management consulting firm Huge Ape Media in 2005. For the past eight years, he has served as Chief Operating Officer of AVN Award-winning production company ATKINGDOM and AMK Empire; he has also released hundreds of titles as an executive producer.
Jimmy's contributions over the past 25-plus years have inspired many others to follow in his footsteps. He has hired and mentored numerous industry professionals who have worked both on the corporate management side and in movie production, including helping guide the careers of new models, talent and production staff in the industry.
Jimmy has consistently pushed the boundaries of his craft, taking on innovative projects that include strategically aligning with mainstream companies, working in the pleasure products arena and in the cannabis industry.
As an activist, Jimmy has been an ambassador for the fight against discrimination, advocating for more racial diversity in the industry. He also has quietly spearheaded numerous philanthropic efforts in the community.
The honorees will be officially inducted on the Las Vegas Strip during the AVN Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Co-hosted by Luna Star, Emily Lynne, and Kazumi, the world-renowned adult industry celebration will reveal the winners in more than 130 categories and feature Grammy-nominated musical guest Iggy Azalea. The AVN Awards closes out the 2024 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, which runs January 24-27, with both events presented by MyFreeCams.
In addition to being honored during the AVN Awards Show, the 2024 AVN Hall of Fame entrants are invited to attend a cocktail celebration in their honor at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, on the AVN Show grounds.
